Why do I literally lay awake all night worrying and thinking about comments by a team member when I have to get up on time for faculty meeting and then deal with monsters?

7. Because you care. In spite of all the crap. That is really the only reason why you do what you do. And also . . .

9. Because the stupid politicians mentioned in #14 don't have a clue in the world how tough teaching really is. They don't have any idea how much torture people will go through just because they care and would attempt to help the future generations become more than lazy, foul-mouthed hooligans who think they deserve everything without giving any effort.
