It's Good To Be Queen!

So, apparently last Christmas, I obtained a new nickname . . . that seems to have stuck. While I'm not generally a fan of nicknames right off the bat (I mean, really . . . who wants to be called "Fester"? He's the ugly bald guy on the Addam's Family! And "Essie?" It sounds like you are calling a cow!! And yet, neither one of those is as bad as when I was in elementary school and was called "Easter Bunny" on a regular basis. Rude.) some of them generally grow on me. I tolerate Fester from most people, especially my dad . . . the creator of that particular nickname. I suppose I have fully embraced Essie . . . hence my email address. But my Christmas nickname is the BEST. Shauna decided that I am the "Undisputed Queen of Christmas." And let me tell you. It's good to be Queen. I even have a tiara now. Which rocks. (Ironically enough I appreciate the shiney stuff WAY more as an adult than I ever did as a teenage girl . . . better late than never, right?) There was great teasing and laughter as I doned my tiara . . . for the entire day. Playing wii with a tiara simply heightened the experience. And I'm sure soaking my feet in my new foot spa (which I could never justify purchasing for myself, but have eyeballed once or twice after a particularly long day at school) wearing the COOLEST pajama pants EVER, listening to some FANTASTIC classical music, wrapped up in a FREAKING AWESOME monkey blanket, and sporting a sparkly tiara will be even better! And so, don't bother me. I'm "Queen-ing!"

Mmmm...does someone have video of you playing Wii in a tiara. I think I could get some good use out of that one day...
