Dear disgruntled, and frankly rude, parent,
I will not apologize for attempting to prepare your child for junior high, or for life in general. I will apologize, however, that the poor kid has a parent with mediocre expectations because achieving anything higher than that would just be too stressful for your son. Perhaps instead of criticizing my teaching and insinuating that I do not care about my students you should ask yourself if the single viewpoint of a 5th grader is really all that accurate. In addition, I don't know what college students you are referring to, but in my experience, college students can in fact turn in their assignments . . . even if they had to work in a group. Please feel free to contact me in 15 years when your son is still living at home having his mommy make excuses for his laziness.
Sincerely,
No One's Personal Punching Bag

Niiiice. I personally think you should have said it, especially the part about contacting you in 15 years.
Nice! You have gumption, Sweetie. Even if you never say it out loud. I don't know what's going on, but my blogger didn't notify me of your March 14th "annoying your co workers" post. I'm a little annoyed at it now (stupid blogger). Anyway, I have a puzzle I've been meaning to do and I thought of you and the cool puzzles we did.
You go girl!! Wish you had been around when my kids were in 5th grade! Oh wait - you were in 5th grade then too!
HA!! Can't tell you how many similar letters I've composed in my head. LOVE it!
